TNews, WISATA – <\/strong>Mengepel lantai rumah biasanya menggunakan sabun atau cairan sejenisnya. Tapi di desa ini unik, pakai kotoran sapi.<\/p>\n

Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Road Trip Explore Mandalika melakukan perjalanan ke Sembalun, Kabupaten Lombok Timur, NTB. Salah satu tempat yang disambangi adalah Desa Beleq (dibaca: beli’).<\/p>\n

Desa ini menjadi cikal bakal perkampungan Sembalun. Dulunya hanya ada tujuh keluarga yang selamat dari erupsi Gunung Samalas tahun 1258 M. Mereka berniat kembali ke Sembalun dan hidup di sana.<\/p>\n

Berada di kaki Gunung Rinjani membuat Sembalun punya cuaca yang dingin-dingin sejuk. Tanpa AC pun, suhu ruangan rumah sudah dingin.<\/p>\n

Untuk menghangatkannya, warga Desa Beleq punya tradisi yang unik. Mereka mengepel rumahnya dengan kotoran sapi.<\/p>\n

“Kotoran sapi akan membuat ruangan jadi hangat dan tidak ada nyamuk,” kata Abdul Rozak, pemandu lokal.<\/p>\n

Kotoran sapi yang diambil tidak sembarangan. Kotoran yang dipakai adalah kotoran pertama yang dikeluarkan oleh sapi.<\/p>\n

“Jadi ngambil kotorannya pagi,” kata dia.<\/p>\n

Pertanyaan yang langsung mencuat dalam pikiran adalah, bagaimana dengan aroma rumah itu nantinya? Rupanya, ada campuran yang digunakan untuk mereduksi baunya.<\/p>\n

“Kotoran sapi akan dicampur dengan kayu bakar, tanah, dan air,” katanya.<\/p>\n

Setelah dicampur, barulah warga mengepel rumah. Oh iya, kegiatan mengepel ini tidak dilakukan setiap hari, hanya seminggu sekali.<\/p>\n

“Sampai sekarang pun tradisi ini masih dilakukan oleh warga Desa Beleq,” tutur Rozak.<\/p>\n
