TOTABUANEWS, JAKARTA<\/strong> \u2013 Wakil Ketua Komite I DPD RI, Benny Rhamdani nampaknya geram dengan sikap keras kepala PT Freeport Indonesia yang kabarnya akan melakukan gugatan melalui pemgadilan Aribitase. Alasannya, perusahaan asal Negeri Paman Sam itu bersikeras tidak mengubah izin operasi di Indonesia dari Kontrak Karya menjadi Izin Usaha Pertambangan Khusus (IUPK).<\/p>\n

Menurut Benny, pemerintah Indonesia tidak boleh kalah dan menyerah dengan ancaman PTFI itu. Apalagi, Indonesia sesunguhnyasudah terlatih melewati masa sulit.<\/p>\n

\u201cKita sudah terlatih melawan belanda 350 tahun, kita melewati masa sulit saat melawan penjajah Jepang jadi tak boleh takut,\u201d kata Benny Selasa (21\/02\/2017).<\/p>\n

lanjutnya, dengan 384 juta penduduk, negara ini merupakan salah satu negara berpenduduk terbesar di dunia. Indonesia pun memiliki kekayaan alam yang begitu berlimpah.<\/p>\n

Karenanya, Indonesia tak boleh takut dengan negara yang notabene melindungi perusahaan itu, dalam hal ini Amerika Serikat.<\/p>\n

\u201cKalau kita takut terhadap ancaman Freeport, itu artinya negara telah sukarela meletakkan harga dirinya dibawah kaki dan alas kaki negara asing,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Dia menambahkan, tawaran divestasi yang diberikan pemerintah sebenarnya sangat ideal. Sebab, selama ini PTFI telah melakukan perampokan sumber daya alam negeri ini.<\/p>\n

\u201cNegara ini memiliki kedaulatan dan harga diri, perampokan sumber daya alam di negeri ini harus diakhiri,\u201d tandasnya.<\/p>\n
