Ditemukan penurunan 58 persen dalam kebutuhan untuk intubasi di antara 84 pasien yang telah menggunakan famotidine selama 24 jam dirawat di rumah sakit.<\/p>\n<p>Studi &#8216;retrospektif&#8217; yang diterbitkan tanpa peer review ini mendasarkan temuan mereka pada tinjauan rekam medis. Oleh karena itu peneliti tidak dapat mengendalikan beberapa faktor yang berpotensi meringankan.<\/p>\n<p>Pemodelan telah menunjukkan bahwa famotidine mungkin mengikat dan mengganggu protein yang dihasilkan oleh virus Corona, menghambat kemampuan virus untuk masuk ke dalam sel dan bereplikasi.<\/p>\n<p>Yasir Tarabichi, seorang ahli pulmonologi MetroHealth, mengatakan bukti yang dikumpulkan sejauh ini tentang famotidine menarik dan perlu penelitian lebih lanjut. &#8220;Ini benar-benar layak untuk dipelajari,&#8221; kata Yasir.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jarang dalam kedokteran melakukan sesuatu yang menyebabkan pengurangan kematian atau kebutuhan untuk intubasi pada tingkat di atas 50 persen.
