TNews, KESEHATAN <\/b>– Ilmuwan China yang tengah mengembangkan vaksin virus Corona COVID-19 mengatakan kepada Sky News bahwa pengembangan vaksin mereka 99 persen akan berhasil.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Sinovac sebuah perusahaan bioteknologis yang berbasis di Beijing saat ini memiliki vaksin Corona yang tengah memasuki uji coba tahap kedua.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lebih dari 1.000 relawan berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan vaksin mereka. Perusahaan juga mengatakan sedang dalam pembicaraan awal untuk mengadakan uji coba tahap ke 3, bagian akhir dari proses uji coba di Inggris.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sky News bertanya kepada Luo Baishan, seorang peneliti di Sinovac, apakah menurutnya vaksin itu akan berhasil. “Ya, ya. Pasti berhasil, 99 persen pasti,” jawabnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bulan lalu Sinovac menerbitkan hasil dalam jurnal ilmiah Science yang menunjukkan vaksin, yang disebut CoronaVac, telah berhasil diuji coba pada monyet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Helen Yang, Direktur Senior, Sinovac mengatakan perusahaan tersebut sedang dalam negosiasi untuk melakukan uji coba tahap tiga dan juga terakhir di Inggris.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Kami sedang bicara dengan beberapa negara Eropa dan Inggris. Saat ini adalah tahap yang masih sangat awal untuk diskusi.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sky melaporkan bahwa Sinovac juga membangun pabrik komersial di area lain di Beijing. Tujuannya untuk menghasilkan 100 juta dosis ketika vaksin mendapatkan persetujuan akhir untuk produksi massal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meski demikian, Sinovac tidak merekomendasikan penggunaan vaksin kepada semua orang, melainkan hanya fokus pada petugas kesehatan dan orang tua. Mereka akan menjadi orang pertama yang menerima vaksin.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Ini adalah rekomendasi kami bahwa bukan semua orang yang akan mendapatkan vaksin. Kami sedang membahas ini dan merekomendasikannya ke negara lain. Target kami pertama adalah kelompok berisiko tinggi, misalnya petugas kesehatan atau orang lanjut usia,” jelas Helen, dilansir dari Sky News pada Sabtu (30\/5\/2020).<\/span><\/p>\n
