TNews, HUKRIM <\/strong>– Polisi mengungkap kasus prostitusi online yang muncikari dan pelanggannya dari kalangan mahasiswa. Tak hanya mahasiswa, sosiolog Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) menyebut pelajar juga jadi pelanggannya.<\/p>\n

Sosiolog kriminal UGM, Suprapto, menjelaskan kemunculan prostitusi online merupakan dampak dari pergeseran sistem komunikasi dan informasi. Awalnya, langsung melalui bertatap muka menjadi berperantara.<\/p>\n

“Saya melihat fenomena prostitusi daring ini disebabkan oleh pergeseran sistem informasi dari face to face langsung menjadi berperantara yang artinya disebabkan oleh kemajuan sistem informasi dan komunikasi,” kata Suprapto saat dihubungi wartawan, Kamis (16\/7\/2020).<\/p>\n

Lalu dalam kasus prostitusi online yang dibongkar oleh Polsek Mlati beberapa hari yang lalu muncul fakta bahwa rata-rata pelanggan berasal dari kalangan mahasiswa. Suprapto melihat hal ini dampak dari harga jasa yang ditawarkan.<\/p>\n

Dulunya, untuk sekali transaksi bisa mencapai Rp 1,5 juta. Namun, karena adanya persaingan antar pekerja seks komersil (PSK) membuat adanya pergeseran harga. Dampaknya, memunculkan pasar baru yaitu mahasiswa.<\/p>\n

“Karena sekarang ini sudah banyak yang melakukan aktivitas prostitusi dengan segala kemudahan yang ada maka ada persaingan. Sehingga harganya turun, bahkan sampai ada yang dengan nilai Rp 200 ribu,” ungkapnya.<\/p>\n

“Akhirnya muncul pelanggan baru dari kalangan mahasiswa. Bahkan dari penelitian saya, bukan hanya mahasiswa tapi pelajar juga ada karena (harga) relatif terjangkau,” lanjutnya.<\/p>\n

Berdasarkan penelitian yang dia lakukan sejak tahun 2000 terkait fenomena prostitusi, mahasiswa ataupun pelajar yang menjadi pelanggan hanya ingin mencari sensasi. Selain itu, menjadi sarana prestise.<\/p>\n
