TNews, VIRAL<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0Dua dokter terkenal di Florida, Amerika Serikat (AS), yang keduanya merupakan ayah dan anak meninggal dunia akibat terinfeksi\u00a0virus Corona\u00a0COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Dikutip dari\u00a0CNN, kedua dokter itu bernama Dr Carlos Vallejo (57) dan ayahnya Dr Jorge Vallejo (89). Disebutkan, mereka mengalami komplikasi\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0sebelum meninggal dunia.<\/p>\n

Jorge merupakan seorang pensiunan dokter kandungan. Ia telah menangani persalinan banyak pasien selama 45 tahun di Miami.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, Carlos adalah salah satu dokter yang bertugas di garda terdepan dalam menangani pasien Corona.<\/p>\n

Anak Carlos, Charlie Vallejo, mengatakan bahwa ayahnya bekerja sepenuh hati dan memperlakukan setiap pasien layaknya keluarga. “Dia meninggal sebagai pahlawan,” ucap Charlie.<\/p>\n

Keduanya meninggal dalam jarak waktu lima minggu<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jorge meninggal pada 27 Juni 2020 ketika Carlos masih berjuang melawan\u00a0COVID-19. Carlos diberitahu melalui FaceTime oleh keluarganya kalau ayahnya telah meninggal dunia.<\/p>\n

“Sekelilingnya (Carlos) hanya ada mesin dan tidak ada kontak manusia. Jadi aku pikir ini bisa membuatnya semakin hancur,” kata Charlie.<\/p>\n

Lima minggu kemudian setelah di rawat di ICU dan sempat menggunakan ventilator selama dua minggu, Carlos pun dinyatakan meninggal dunia pada 1 Agustus 2020.<\/p>\n

“Dia adalah seorang juara, dia merupakan pejuang yang berjuang sampai akhir,” ujar Charlie.<\/p>\n

Selain itu, diketahui lima anggota keluarga Vallejo pun dinyatakan positif Corona, termasuk istri Carlos. Pihak keluarga percaya kalau Carlos sudah sangat berhati-hati sebelumnya saat bertugas, tetapi kenyataannya ia tetap terinfeksi saat merawat pasien.<\/p>\n

Carlos merupakan salah satu dari 900 lebih tenaga medis di AS yang meninggal karena\u00a0COVID-19.<\/p>\n
